What We Did

As it goes with so many empty nesters, should we sell and downsize or remodel to get the home we've always wanted?

Our clients have lived in their East Vancouver heritage home for a number of years, raising a family and making memories. As it goes with so many empty nesters, should we sell and downsize or remodel to get the home we’ve always wanted?

Luckily for us they decided to renovate and we embarked on an extensive design process to get the finished product just right.

The primary focus for the project was the main floor layout and the function and aesthetics around the kitchen. The central bearing wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed and we opened up the site lines of the space from the entry foyer to the kitchen pass-through window. In addition, we installed continuous hardwood flooring through, unifying the space as one. The overall result is breathtaking.

On the upper floor, we remodelled the primary bathroom.  In the basement, we upgraded the mechanical systems for the house, and reworked the layout for the guest bedroom/bathroom and laundry area.
