What We Did
This spectacular penthouse in a building, designed by famed architect Bing Thom, offered us over 1400 square feet of interior space with which to work.
Matching walnut cabinetry and quartz counters were used in the bathrooms and the chef’s kitchen, where we incorporated Fisher & Paykel stainless steel appliances and choice ceramic tile. We added oak flooring throughout and an ethanol fireplace. The central atrium provides spectacular views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. Here, we installed climate-adaptive electrically switchable smart glass and remote-controlled window treatments for privacy and shade. This 3 bed, 2.5 bath penthouse, with an almost 700 sf rooftop patio, provides city living at its finest!

The Bing Thom Building
When we were asked to take on this spectacular Vancouver condo renovation, we knew that we had to continue to build off of the spectacularly designed building, which is well-known for its large atrium that runs vertically through the building’s units. That vertical atrium spews in a large amount of light, light that we wanted to capture in all other parts of the condominium renovation. Creating a light, airy feel throughout the home was essential to this renovation’s success.
Built in 1992, the 27-story Bing Thom building sits in the highly sought after Downtown Vancouver core. Residents at the building can enjoy a variety of amenities including a bike room, an exercise centre, high-speed elevators, a communal garden, a sauna, hot tub, as well as secure underground parking.
